Toragi The Frog — guide
Guide: Toragi The Frog
In short
Toragi The Frog is an epic HP champion from the Shadowkin faction, specializing in ally protection and enemy control. He excels in Clan Boss thanks to his shield, ally protection, and reflect damage, and is also useful in Faction Wars and against Borgoth. Build priority is high, especially for Clan Boss.
Strengths
- Powerful ally protection: places a Shield equal to 15% of his MAX HP and a 50% Ally Protection on all allies except himself for 2 turns, plus self-heals for 25% MAX HP.
- AoE Provoke with a 50% base chance, increased by 5% per debuff on enemies — excellent crowd control.
- Passive 5% Poison on attackers when hit (50% chance, once per turn), adding damage over time.
- Aura provides +40 RES in all battles for the whole team.
- High base HP (21,810 at 6★) scales all his abilities.
Weaknesses
- Low base Speed (96) requires significant Speed from gear to cycle skills.
- Relies on Accuracy to land Decrease ATK, Provoke, and Poison.
- Vulnerable to buff removal and skill cooldown manipulation — without his protection, he loses effectiveness.
- Poor in fast-paced battles (Arena, Hard Dungeons) due to long cooldowns.
Where to use
Best areas: Clan Boss (5.0) — his primary role, providing survivability and debuffs. Faction Wars (4.0) — excellent tank and protector. Borgoth the Scarab King — thanks to Provoke and shields. Also viable in Hydra (3.0), Chimera (3.0), Doom Tower (3.0), and normal dungeons (3.0). Weak in Arena (2.5) and Hard Dungeons (2.0).
Stats and gear
Stat priority: HP% (target 80,000+), Speed (170+ for UNM Clan Boss), Accuracy (200+), DEF%. Recommended sets: Perception for Accuracy and Speed, Speed, Immortal for healing, Guardian for extra ally protection. For Arena, consider Stoneskin.
Masteries and blessings
Mastery trees: Offense and Support. Key masteries: In For The Kill, Pouncing Strike, and Warmaster for bonus damage against bosses. Blessings: Faultless Defense for survivability, Cruelty to reduce enemy DEF. Relics: Molten Deathbell for damage and control, Arachnelixir for healing and poisons.
Tomes
Prioritize Swamp Protection (A3) for cooldown reduction — it's the core of his survivability. Then Persistent Smell (A2) for more frequent Provoke. A1 can be left unbooked; the damage and debuff chance increase are not critical.
Verdict
Toragi The Frog is a top-tier epic for Clan Boss, definitely worth building. Pair him with Skullcrusher for a powerful protective combo, and his passive poisons and Provoke make him a versatile tank.
