Guide: Haruspex

In short

Haruspex is a Rare Support champion of the Lizardmen faction with an Arena Speed aura. He shines most in Clan Boss: his A1 hits twice and can land a 2.5% Poison, making him a cheap poison source for an early account. In Arena he earns his slot with a team turn-meter fill plus Increase SPD. Build priority is Accuracy and Speed first, survivability second.

Strengths

  • His A2 fills the team's Turn Meters by 15% and grants Increase SPD 15% for 2 turns — a boost and a queue nudge in one press.
  • His revive brings an ally back at 30% HP and instantly fills their Turn Meter by 30%, so the revived champion acts right away instead of standing idle.
  • Arena aura of +15% Speed to allies is a nice freebie for a starter team.
  • A1 hits twice, each hit with a 15% chance to place a 2.5% Poison for 2 turns — steady, if weak, poison stacking on Clan Boss.

Weaknesses

  • A1 damage scales off ATK, and his ATK is tiny (859) — he deals almost no damage himself.
  • 2.5% Poison is the weakest poison in the game, and it only lands reliably with high Accuracy.
  • Long cooldowns: without books his A2 comes up rarely, and most of his value disappears.
  • Low base SPD (105) and mediocre Defense — he folds fast in Hydra and Hard content.

Where to use

Best in Clan Boss (3.5/5) thanks to poisons and turn-meter fill. Then Classic and Tag Team Arena (3.0) off his A2 and aura, and dungeons (3.0). Lizardmen Crypt, Doom Tower and Chimera sit at 2.5. Hydra and Hard content (2.0) are a no-go — he lacks both bulk and damage.

Stats and gear

Aim for SPD 170–200 (higher for Arena), ACC 100–150 for Clan Boss, and as much HP and DEF as you can stack so he survives long enough to revive. C.RATE and C.DMG are irrelevant. Sets: Speed and Accuracy, or a survival mix of Perception, Lifesteal, Regeneration and Immortal. Relics: Journal of Necrotos and Demonic Effigy.

Masteries and blessings

Main tree is Support, with Invigorated and Revival Blessing as the key picks. Second tree Defense for survivability. Blessings on a Rare fodder champion are not a priority — if you must, take a defensive one at 1 star.

Tomes

By skill logic you book A2 first — its two cooldown reductions are what make him a functioning support. But Rare tomes cost the same resources as Legendary ones, and Haruspex is fodder: don't spend books on him.

Verdict

A decent starter support for Clan Boss and Arena in your first weeks, but overall he's fodder. Building him long-term isn't worth it.
