Gladiator — guide
Guide: Gladiator
In short
Gladiator is a Rare Attack champion with an ATK-based kit and three damaging skills, two of which add control depending on how full the target's Turn Meter is. He is not a revelation: he is fine early in Campaign and decent against the Clan Boss, then falls off hard. Build priority is Accuracy and Speed first, damage second.
Strengths
- Death Sentence (A2): hits random targets twice and, if the target's Turn Meter is at 75% or more, has an 80% chance to place Stun for 1 turn. Against fast targets (Clan Boss, bosses, speed waves) that control lands often.
- Cleaving Axe (A1): two hits with a 30% chance of either ATK Down 50% (Turn Meter 50%+) or SPD Down 30% (Turn Meter below 50%) for 2 turns — a flexible debuff for both fast and slow enemies.
- Torture (A3): hits all enemies, a solid wave-clear button in Campaign and dungeons.
- Rare rarity: cheap to level, easy to farm duplicates for Fusion.
Weaknesses
- Low base stats: 1,156 ATK, 936 DEF, 14,040 HP — he folds under any focused damage.
- 97 SPD: slow, so without support he acts late and misses his window.
- Every debuff is chance-based (30% and 80%) and needs Accuracy; without ACC he is just a body in dungeons and the Clan Boss fight.
- Death Sentence picks random targets, so you cannot choose who gets stunned.
Where to use
His best mode is Clan Boss (3/5): extra hits plus a real chance at Stun and ATK Down on a fast boss. Campaign and dungeons (2/5) — leveling and waves thanks to Torture. Faction Wars (2/5) only if you have nothing better. Chimera (2/5) and Arena (1.5/5) — maybe in the lowest tiers, in PvP he gets deleted instantly. Hydra and Hard modes (1/5) are not his content, and Doom Tower (1.5/5) is not either.
Stats and gear
Accuracy first, then Speed, then damage. Rough targets: ACC 200+ (for stage 20+ dungeons and Clan Boss), SPD 180–220, C.RATE 70–100% with C.DMG on the leftovers, ATK wherever it fits. Sets: Speed + Accuracy (Perception/Accuracy) as the baseline; early on swap Accuracy for Speed + Life/Defense so he survives to take a turn. From the relic list: Molten Deathbell.
Masteries and blessings
Main tree is Offense, with In For The Kill as the key pick. Fill with Support (Accuracy and Speed to land debuffs more reliably) or Defense if he keeps dying on waves. Blessings follow general rules — none are listed for this champion.
Tombs
If you actually play him, book A2 first (rank 5 gives −1 cooldown on the Stun) and then A3 (−1 cooldown on the AoE). Given that he is fodder long term, you are better off not spending Tomes on him at all.
Verdict
A middling Rare with serviceable Turn Meter-based control for the Clan Boss and nothing else. Vault him, run him in Faction Wars, then feed him to a Fusion.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
