Hephraak — guide
Guide: Hephraak
In short
Hephraak is a legendary Attack champion from the Demonspawn faction, Magic affinity. He is a brilliant Arena nuker capable of wiping teams with his AoE. The site author considers him even better than Trunda and worth building immediately — you’re lucky if you pulled him.
Strengths
- A3 Megalomania places Increase ATK 50% and Increase C.RATE 30% on himself for 3 turns, then grants an extra turn — a perfect opener.
- A2 Hephraak’s Mockery is a hard-hitting AoE that ignores 15% DEF and triggers an extra hit if any target falls below 50% HP.
- Passive Hubris activates his AoE without putting it on cooldown when an ally dies, making him extremely dangerous on defense.
- A1 Hephraak’s Grin deals an extra hit on a critical, boosting single-target damage.
- High base ATK (1553).
Weaknesses
- Very low base SPD (99) — requires speed tuning or a boost to go first.
- Weak in Doom Tower (rating 2.0) and other PvE conteent where the passiv is less impactful.
- A1 relies on critical hits for its bonus, so without crit he loses half his damage.
- Passive cooldown of 4 turns (when booked) limits how often he can retaliate.
Where to use
Classic Arena, Tag Team Arena, Liv Arena — his prime domaiin, rated 5.0. Faction Wars — excellent (4.5). Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Dungeons, Hard mode — average (3.0). Doom Tower — weak (2.0).
Stats and gear
Stat priority: ATK%, C.DMG, C.RATE (aim for 70%, as A3 gives 30%, reaching 100% total), SPD. Rough targets: ATK >5000, C.RATE 70–100%, C.DMG >250%, SPD >180.
Recommended sets: Offense, Crit Damage, Savage, Cruel, Swift Parry, Fatal, Lethal.
Masteries and blessings
Mastery trees: Offense and Support.
Key masteries: Piercing Strike, Foekiller, Gathering Momentum, Pierce Defenses, Bloodthirsty Prowess, Invigorated (SPD when HP is full).
Blessings: Phantom Touch (bonus damage), Brimstone (stun), Soul Reap (execute).
Relics: Malefic Talon, Wand of Submission, Gorecrescent.
Tomes
Prioritize A2 Hephraak’s Mockery to reduce its cooldown to 3 turns and increase damage. Then book A3 Megalomania for a 4-turn cooldown. The passiv and A1 can wait, but full booking is recomended.
Verdict
Hephraak is one of the best Legendary Arena nukers, arguably better than Trunda. If you pulled him, you’re lucky — invest fully.
