Knight-Errant — guide
Guide: Knight-Errant
In short
Knight-Errant is an Epic Attack champion of the Banner Lords, Spirit affinity. He is far from a star: his home is Faction Wars, and with proper gear he can serve as a solo damage dealer thanks to the 7× ATK hit on his third skill. Build him for ATK, crit and ACC for his debuffs — but only invest seriously if you need him for FW.
Strengths
- A3 "Death Sentence" — 7× ATK, places 25% Weaken for 2 turns and deals +75% damage when he is at full HP.
- A2 "Mordau" — 60% chance to place a 1-turn Stun, and if the target dies, all allies' skill cooldowns are reset.
- A1 "Halfsword" ignores 30% of the target's DEF and has a 30% chance to place Parasite for 2 turns.
- His passive gives allies +32% DEF in Dungeons — a nice bonus for farming.
Weaknesses
- Low base ATK (1,387) and only 96 SPD — all his damage has to come from gear.
- Squishy: 672 DEF with 18,660 HP, and no self-survival buffs.
- Almost useless against Hydra and in Hard content — rated 1.0 out of 5 there.
- His debuffs are chance-based, so without ACC half of them never land.
Where to use
His best rating is Clan Boss (3.0), but the site author is blunt: Faction Wars only. Realistically that means FW (2.5) as a damage dealer with Stun and Weaken, plus Arena (2.5) and Chimera (2.5) at lower tiers. In Dungeons (2.0) he mostly contributes his DEF passive, in Doom Tower (1.5) he is situational, and against Hydra and Hard content (1.0) there is nothing for him to do.
Stats and gear
Priority: C.RATE to 100%, C.DMG 150–200%+, ATK 3,500–4,000+, SPD 170–190. If you want reliable Stun and Weaken, add ACC 180–220. RES is not needed. Sets: Savage or Lethal for damage, Cruel, or plain Speed plus Attack; early on two Attack sets with good substats will do. From the relic list, Malefic Talon and Gorecrescent are the picks — both push his damage.
Masteries and blessings
Offense tree: Pierce Defenses, Foekiller, Piercing Strike and Bloodthirsty Prowess — all about penetration and finishing kills. On top of that, take accuracy/crit masteries in Support, or survivability in Defense if he keeps dying. No blessings are listed in the build; he is not worth the resources — if you have a spare one, put it on damage, but it is not a priority.
Tomes
Book A3 "Death Sentence" first: tomes add +10% damage and push the Weaken chance from 60% to 100% — it is both his main damage and his main debuff. Then A2 "Mordau": +10% damage and Stun chance up to 90%. Leave A1 "Halfsword" for last — it only raises the Parasite chance from 30% to 50%.
Verdict
Site verdict: "To the vault (fusion)." Only worth building and gearing for Faction Wars, or if you need him as fusion fodder.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
