Wagonbane — guide

In short

Wagonbane is a Rare Support from Ogryn Tribes with Magic affinity. His job is dropping Decrease DEF and Decrease ACC while topping up the lowest-HP ally with Continuous Heal — not dealing damage. He is worth gearing only for Faction Wars; otherwise he is vault and fusion material.

Strengths

• A3: 75% chance to place 60% Decrease DEF for 2 turns plus a 75% chance to cut the target's Turn Meter by 15% — a real debuff package against tanky waves and bosses.
• A1: 50% Decrease ACC for 2 turns, with the chance going from 35% to 50% after books.
• A2 automatically places 7.5% Continuous Heal for 2 turns on the ally with the lowest HP — no targeting needed.
• Cheap and easy to get: fine filler for the Ogryn Faction Wars team, and his books are cheap.

Weaknesses

• Every skill scales off ATK, and 947 ATK means he hits for nothing.
• Squishy base: 17,175 HP, 936 DEF, 97 SPD and 10 ACC, so most of his gear goes into survival and Accuracy.
• Long cooldowns: A2 is 4 turns (3 when booked), A3 is 5 turns, so debuff uptime is poor.
• Beyond the heal he brings no team buffs — no Shield, no ATK/DEF buff, no real control.

Where to use

His best score is Chimera (2.5/5), where Decrease DEF and the Turn Meter cut actually matter. Next come Clan Boss (2.0) and Faction Wars (2.0): in CB he is at best a third debuffer early on, in FW he is a body with one useful A3. In dungeons, Hard mode and Doom Tower (1.0 each) there is no reason to bring him, in Hydra (1.0) he folds, and in Arena (0.5) he does nothing.

Stats and gear

Priority: Accuracy → Speed → survivability. Targets: 150–200 ACC (enough for stage 20 dungeons and Faction Wars), 170–200 SPD, HP% or DEF% gloves and chest, Resistance on whatever is left. Ignore C.RATE and C.DMG — damage is not his job. Sets: Speed, Perception, Accuracy; the relic in the build is Tempus Sanguinis.

Masteries and blessings

The build lists Gathering Momentum. Round it out with support masteries: Master Hexer to extend his debuffs, Lay on Hands, and the Defence tree if he keeps dying; Sniper in Offence helps his debuff chances. Blessings: he is a Rare vault champion — don't spend soulstones on him, take a cheap utility blessing only if a soul drops on its own.

Tombs

If you do book him, start with A2: the cooldown drops from 4 to 3 turns so the Continuous Heal comes around far more often. Then A1, taking Decrease ACC from 35% to 50%. A3 needs nothing — its 75% is already there.

Verdict

A narrow champion for Faction Wars and early Chimera, otherwise vault and fusion. Don't invest in him for main content.
