Medicus — guide
Guide: Medicus
In short
Medicus is a Rare Support champion of the High Elves with Spirit affinity. His selling point is a 30% Increase DEF buff for the whole team plus an AoE Speed debuff; he shines most in Hydra and Faction Wars. Build him for Speed and survivability — he is not a damage dealer.
Strengths
- “Restorative Elixir” grants the entire team a 30% Increase DEF buff for 2 turns — very generous for a Rare.
- “Iron Shackles” applies a 15% Decrease SPD AoE for 2 turns, at 70% chance once booked.
- It also puts a 15% Increase SPD buff on himself, so he keeps cycling reasonably fast.
- Spirit affinity is handy when facing Magic enemies.
Weaknesses
- Both damage skills scale off ATK, but his base Attack is only 1,046 — he will never hit anything.
- Squishy: 16,515 HP and 881 DEF, folds quickly under focus.
- No healing and no revive — the name is misleading, he is not a medic.
- Rated 1.0 in Chimera, Hard mode and Doom Tower — he has no place there.
Where to use
Best area is Hydra (3.5), where the DEF buff and AoE Speed debuff genuinely help the team survive. Next comes Faction Wars (2.5) as a DEF buffer for the High Elves roster, Clan Boss (2.5) at an early stage, and Arena (2.5) — though the author states plainly that this champion is not recommended for PvP. Dungeons (2.0) are weak, and Chimera, Hard and Doom Tower (1.0 each) are a hard pass.
Stats and gear
Priority: SPD → ACC → DEF/HP. Rough targets: Speed 200+, Accuracy 200–250 so the Decrease SPD lands reliably in Hydra, everything else into DEF and HP. C.RATE and C.DMG are irrelevant — there is no damage.
- Sets: Speed, Perception, Accuracy; for survival, Life or Defense.
- From the build list: the Orb of Transfixion relic.
- Do not stack Attack — the ATK scaling is far too low.
Masteries and blessings
The build lists Invigorated and Targetfinder. Go down the Support tree for accuracy and survivability, and the Defense tree for damage reduction. No blessing is specified in the build — pick something that keeps him alive and helps the team.
Tombs
Book “Restorative Elixir” first: every cooldown reduction brings it down to 3 turns, and that is the whole point of the champion. Second is “Iron Shackles” (+10%/+10% debuff chance and −1 cooldown). “Double Scalpel” does not need books.
Verdict
The author's verdict is simply “food”. Keep him only for the DEF buff in Faction Wars and early Hydra; otherwise he is not worth tomes or gear.
