Pilgrim — guide
Guide: Pilgrim
In short
Pilgrim is an Uncommon Force support from the Sacred Order: his A1 hits twice and shaves 5% off the target's Turn Meter per hit, and his A2 grants every ally a 30% DEF buff for 2 turns. He does not improve a serious team — his only real home is Faction Wars (2.5/5), with everything else hovering around 1.0. Build priority: none, the site's verdict is food.
Strengths
- The DEF buff is the one thing worth having: 30% DEF to the whole team for 2 turns, and its second skill level cuts the cooldown by 1.
- The A1 hits twice, so it strips up to 10% Turn Meter per turn for free — and it needs no ACC at all.
- Force affinity and 14,865 base HP is solid for an Uncommon; he survives the early game.
- Sacred Order Faction Wars is thin at the bottom, so he can hold a slot while you farm better champions.
Weaknesses
- No heal, no cleanse, no revive and not a single debuff — the entire kit is one buff plus chip damage.
- 98 base SPD and 969 DEF: slow and fragile, so the buff often lands too late.
- Any Rare support does his job better; Arena, dungeons and Hard all sit at 1.0.
- Chimera and Doom Tower (0.5) — he simply doesn't function there.
Where to use
Faction Wars is the only place he earns a slot (2.5/5): a 30% DEF buff plus Turn Meter pressure helps a thin Sacred Order squad reach the end of a wave. Clan Boss (1.5) is next — the DEF buff and the free A1 Turn Meter drop are fine for a starter CB team. Arena, dungeons and Hard (1.0 each) are first-days filler only. Chimera and Doom Tower (0.5): leave him in the vault.
Stats and gear
ACC is pointless on him — he lands nothing. Priority: SPD (so the DEF buff goes up before the damage) then HP% / DEF% for survival. Rough early targets: 170–200 SPD, 30,000+ HP, 1,500+ DEF. Sets: Speed, Life, Defense, Immortal; Perception if you still can't reach the SPD you want. The site lists no recommended build, so these are general guidelines.
Masteries and blessings
There is no mastery list from the site. The logic: Support tree first for survivability and utility procs, Defense tree second. If he sits on your Clan Boss team, Offense tier 6 (Warmaster or Giant Slayer) gives his double-hit A1 some actual damage. Blessings: not worth resources on food; if you absolutely must, take a cheap damage one such as Brimstone.
Tomes
Only one book matters: the second level of his A2 cuts its cooldown by 1, meaning the DEF buff comes back faster. The A1 levels are pure +5% damage each and are not worth tomes. So don't book him at all — if he is carrying your Faction Wars squad, one book into the A2 is the absolute limit.
Verdict
Food. Keep one copy for Sacred Order Faction Wars if your roster is empty, otherwise feed him without regret.
