Strengths
- Places AoE HP Burn for 2 turns when under an Increase ATK buff.
- Turn meter control: A2 and A3 reduce enemy turn meters, A1 boosts his own.
- Passive instantly removes Stun and fully heals him — excellent anti-CC tool.
- Self-applies a 50% Increase ATK buff on a critical hit with A2, reducing reliance on external buffers.
- High rating in Faction Wars (3.5) and against Spiders — a top-tier epic for that content.
Weaknesses
- HP Burn only activates under Increase ATK; needs high buff uptime or consistent crits on A2.
- Reliant on Critical Rate: self-buff and turn meter reduction require crits, otherwise performance drops.
- Low base Speed (98) — demands strong Speed gear.
- Squishy as a pure damage dealer; may need Lifesteal or protection to survive.
Where to use
Best in Spider’s Den and against Sorath (Ice Spider), where mass HP Burn and turn meter reduction dominate. Excellent for Faction Wars (rating 3.5). Performs decently in dungeons and Arena (3.0), and can work in Hydra (3.0). Weak in Clan Boss (2.5), Chimera (2.5), Doom Tower (2.5), and Hard content (2.0).
Stats and gear
Stat priority: Speed (170+), Accuracy (200+ for level 20 dungeons), C. Rate (100%), ATK% (4000+), C. DMG (150%+). Recommended sets: Accuracy, Speed, Lifesteal (if no healer), Divine Speed, Perception. Aim for 100% C. Rate so A2 always grants Increase ATK and cuts turn meters.
Masteries and blessings
Trees: Offense and Support. Key masteries: Pierce Defenses (ignore DEF per debuff) or Boss Slayer (damage vs bosses), Destructive Accuracy (bonus ACC per dead ally), Nimblemiss (chance to reduce incoming damage). For blessings (relics), consider Golden Elixir, Irethi Coronet, or Skull of Treason.
Tomes
Book Burning Rage (A3) first to reduce the AoE HP Burn cooldown to 4 turns. Next, Shatter Hopes (A2) for more frequent self-buff and control. The passive Mere a Trifle can be booked last, lowering its cooldown to 3 turns.
Verdict
Ultimate Galek is one of the best epic HP Burn champions for Spiders and Faction Wars. If you need mass burns and turn meter control, build him — he’s absolutely worth the investment.
