Guide: Vlad the Nightborn

In short

Vlad the Nightborn is a Legendary Attack champion of the Undead Hordes built around debuff pressure and snowballing kills: an AoE with Parasite and turn-meter theft, a double-hitting nuke with Decrease DEF and Block Active Skills, plus a passive that grants Revive on Death after kills. He shines in Hydra, Chimera, Arena and especially Faction Wars (5/5). Build him first as a fast debuffer-damage hybrid: Speed, then Accuracy, then Attack and crit.

Strengths

  • Bloodless hits all enemies and has a 75% chance to place Parasite for 2 turns, while stealing 50% of current turn meter from Banner Lords, Sacred Order and High Elves (other factions lose 50% turn meter instead).
  • Shroud of Mind attacks twice: 60% Decrease DEF and Block Active Skills for 2 turns, and if both land he also gains Veil for 2 turns.
  • Passive gives Revive on Death for 2 turns plus a full heal and +50% turn meter after every kill — great for cleaning up.
  • Aura: +30% C.RATE to allies in Arena, effectively a free stat for the team.
  • Faction Wars is a perfect 5/5 — his best content by far.

Weaknesses

  • Damage is lower than Oboro's: as a pure nuker he loses to top-tier damage dealers.
  • The passive's heal and +50% turn meter only trigger if Konstantin the Light Warrior is in the team.
  • Dungeons, Doom Tower and Hard mode sit at 3/5 — he is not a universal pick.
  • Turn-meter theft in Bloodless depends on the enemy faction, so in PvE the bonus often misses.

Where to use

Faction Wars (5/5) first. Then Hydra, Chimera and Arena (4/5 each), where his turn-meter control and debuffs actually matter. Clan Boss is 3.5/5 — fine next to a Decrease DEF setup, but not your main damage source. Dungeons, Hard mode and Doom Tower are 3/5: he fills a slot rather than carrying.

Stats and gear

  • SPD: around 190–220 for PvE, 230+ for Arena so Bloodless and Shroud of Mind land before enemy turns.
  • ACC: 200–250 — without it Parasite, Decrease DEF and Block Active Skills simply won't stick.
  • ATK: ATK% gloves and chest; push C.RATE to 85–100%, or use C.DMG gloves once crit rate is high enough.
  • Sets: Speed, Savage, Cruel, Perception (Speed plus Perception covers speed and accuracy).

Masteries and blessings

Two setups: PvE for Dungeons, Clan Boss, Doom Tower and Faction Wars; PvP for Arena 1v1 and 3v3 built around damage and control. Key masteries from the list: Pierce Defenses, Rolling Force, Constant Onslaught, Bloodthirsty Prowess, Boss Slayer. Blessings: Crushing Rend against high-HP targets, Brimstone for steady extra damage, Temporal Chains if you need speed control. Relics: Malefic Talon, Irethi Coronet, Stormcaller.

Tombs

Book Shroud of Mind first: it gives −1 cooldown and a combined +25% chance on both debuffs, which is his core (Decrease DEF, Block Active Skills and Veil). Then Bloodless for the cooldown reduction and better Parasite/turn-meter odds. Blade of Vengeance last — it only adds damage.

Verdict

A very average legendary: vault or fusion fodder, worth building only if you have no alternatives and need Faction Wars.
