Empty-bellied — guide
Guide: Empty-bellied
In short
Empty-bellied is an Uncommon HP-type champion from the Ogryn Tribes with Force affinity. His entire kit is an A1 with a 10% chance to place a 1-turn Stun and "Support" — a Shield on all allies equal to 10% of his MAX HP for 2 turns. Overall rating is 1.0 and the site author's verdict is food: don't invest gear, tomes or masteries in him.
Strengths
- A team-wide Shield is rare on an Uncommon and genuinely prevents early-game one-shots.
- The Shield scales off MAX HP, and his 18000 base HP is easy to push higher.
- The A1 Stun only has a 10% chance, but it works on any target and can steal a turn.
- Usable as a filler body in Faction Wars Crypts until you pull proper Ogryns.
Weaknesses
- No Accuracy at all (ACC is blank), so the A1 Stun almost never lands on real targets.
- 92 SPD is very slow — the Shield arrives late.
- A 10% MAX HP Shield for 2 turns on a long cooldown is one of the weakest support kits around.
- Content ratings: 0.5 in Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera and Arena; 1.0 in Dungeons and Faction Wars — and even there he is just filling a slot.
Where to use
His best areas are Dungeons and Faction Wars Crypts (both 1.0), where he can act as a cheap early shield-bot. In Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Arena, Hard dungeons and Doom Tower (0.5) he brings nothing: no damage, no reliable control and not enough survivability for bosses. Past the first week or two he becomes food.
Stats and gear
Priority: HP → SPD → DEF/RES. Rough targets at 6★: 45–60k HP, 150+ SPD, 1500+ DEF, 100+ RES if you actually use him in Faction Wars. Do not build Accuracy — a 10% Stun isn't worth it. Sets: Life, Immortal (extra HP and a small heal), Speed (so the Shield lands earlier), Shield. HP% gloves, HP% chest, SPD boots.
Masteries and blessings
If you have nothing better to do: Support tree (Lay on Hands, Cycle of Magic to shorten the Support cooldown) plus Defense tree for survivability (Tough Skin and similar). Blessings are pointless on food; if he sits in a Faction Wars team, take any defensive one.
TomES
The only upgrade that matters is the 4th level of Support: cooldown −1, so the Shield comes up more often. Books in the A1 only add damage and +5% Stun chance twice (20% total), which changes nothing. Verdict on tomes: don't spend them on Uncommon food — save them for Epics and Legendaries.
Verdict
Food is food: keep one copy for early Faction Wars Crypts, feed the rest into rank-ups.
