Guide: Beater

In short

Beater is an Uncommon Orc champion with the Attack role and Force affinity. Her kit is starter-tier: the first skill hits twice, with a 10% chance on the second hit to place a 2.5% Poison for 2 turns, and the second skill is a single-target hit with a 20% chance to place Decrease DEF 30% for 2 turns. The site author rates her 0.5 in every area (only 1.0 in Faction Wars) and sums her up in one word: food. Investing in her only makes sense if you have nothing else to fill a slot in the Orc Crypt early on.

Strengths

  • The first skill hits twice, giving two separate chances to land Poison — though the second hit is only 10%.
  • Decrease DEF 30% is a genuinely useful debuff when it lands, letting the team hit that target harder.
  • Uncommon rarity: cheap and fast to level, so she can simply hold a slot with almost no resource cost.
  • Being an Orc, she can plug one of the thin roster gaps in early Faction Wars Crypts.

Weaknesses

  • Debuff chances are tiny — 10% for Poison and 20% for Decrease DEF — you cannot plan a fight around them.
  • Low damage: 1134 base ATK at 6★ with modest multipliers means she is not a real damage dealer.
  • SPD 94 is slow, and 14700 HP / 639 DEF at 6★ make her fragile on top of it.
  • No passive, no aura, no team buffs — she contributes nothing except two attacks.

Where to use

The only place she scores at all is the Orc Faction Wars Crypt (1.0), and even there only on the first stages while your roster is empty. Everywhere else — Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Arena, Dungeons, Doom Tower and Hard mode — she sits at 0.5 and has no business being brought along. Her actual job is food for levelling champions you will keep. If you are completely stuck in the very first campaign stages she can tag along, but do not invest past that.

Stats and gear

There is no recommended build for her — the site author lists none, which tells you enough. If you must field her (early Crypt), chase speed and accuracy: SPD 150–170 and ACC 150–200 so Poison and Decrease DEF occasionally connect. After that, ATK% and C.RATE up to 100%, with C.DMG on the remainder. Gloves ATK% or C.RATE, chest ATK%, boots SPD, banner ACC. From sets, Perception and Speed give exactly the accuracy and speed she needs; anything more expensive is wasted gear that other champions could use.

Masteries and blessings

Farming masteries on fodder is pointless. If she is genuinely needed for the Crypt, the cheapest path is enough: the Attack tree (Deadly Precision, Keen Strike, Whirlwind of Death) plus Support with Sniper, since accuracy on debuffs is the only thing that affects her usefulness. Do not spend blessings on her — no blessing list is given for her, and any resources are better placed on a champion who stays in your roster.

Tomes

Do not put tomes into Beater at all — that is a straight waste of resources. The only meaningful upgrade in her kit is the cooldown reduction on the second skill (Decrease DEF), and even that is a coin flip at a 20% chance. If you absolutely must, book the second skill first; the first skill only gains +5% damage and +5% chance, which is invisible on a champion like this.

Verdict

Food. Keep her as levelling material or a one-off body for the early Orc Crypt, but do not spend gear, tomes or masteries on her.
