The best starting hero of RAID SHADOW LEGENDS

At the very beginning of the game in RAID: Shadow Legends, you need to choose one of the four starting heroes. They all belong to different factions and have special fighting skills. If all of them are equally effective in the early phase of the campaign, then closer to the later stages, the effectiveness of some characters drops to zero. In this guide, we will try to answer the question of which of the proposed heroes should be taken to your team.

So, when you enter the game, you will see an introductory video and a small piece of gameplay in which a team of four warriors runs through a corridor, destroying enemies in their path. Here you will get your first training and learn the history of RAID.

All four starting heroes have the same Aura - increasing the health of allies in all battles by 15%. This is a universal Aura, and since it is identical for all the starting heroes, it will not help us with deciding which hero to choose first.

Let's move on to the characters. The game will offer you to choose one of the four heroes:

Galeka of the Orc tribe
Kael of the Dark Elf faction
Elaine of the High Elf caste;
Ethel of the Knights of the Holy Order.

Let's look at each of them in more detail.
Galek

Multipliers: A1-1.5*atk+50. A2-4.5*atk. A3-1.6*atk*4 attacks

The most private member of the Raid advertisement - Galek-is the worst choice for the middle and late game, suitable only for the initial stage, since it reduces the Defense, it can also be used in the Arena and Clan boss. Also, its advantage is the presence of a speed bonus. A huge minus is his simple two strikes with A1 without debuffs.

Elaine

Multipliers: A1-2.2*atk*2(if the attack is critical). A2-4*atk. A3-1.9*atk*2 attacks

Elaine - good for early play, passing campaign locations (for farming artifacts and pumping food for further improvement of the hero). It also shows itself better than others in the arena. This hero has the highest multipliers.

Kael

Multipliers: A1-3.5*atk. A2-4.65*atk. A3-1.5*ATK*4 attacks

Kael is a good one in the Arena, thanks to his massive attack, which fills the turn scale with each enemy killed. In addition, he is good in clan battles as a poisoner, as he casts a Poison penalty that deals significant damage to the boss. This is the best of the four-for the late game (Arena and bos Clan).

Ethel

Multipliers: A1-1.3 * atk*3 attacks, A2-4.1*atk.

Ethel is also good for early play, but is also a good champion in the Lava Knight Castle (thanks to her triple attack first skill). In the arena, it deals relatively weak damage due to a low attack base and a small damage multiplier, but it is leveled with the rest due to the presence of an attack bonus. It shows itself well on the Clan boss due to the multi-attack and the presence of a weakness penalty on the basic skill.

Who to choose at the beginning of the game?

As a result, the best choice of the starting hero will be Kael, slightly inferior to Ethel. Very often, players make a mistake and choose a promoted Galek. In this case, if you have not reached the 30th level yet, it is better to start again.

Kael and Ethel remain relevant in the middle game and lose in the late game.

Galeka and Elaine should not be chosen because they lose their full relevance already in the middle game.
