Dreadhorn — guide (Bommal)
Guide: Dreadhorn
In short
Dreadhorn (Bommal) is a Doom Tower rotation boss and probably the hardest floor in the tower: he blankets your team in Bombs and HP Burn, and the Bombs cannot be cleansed or blocked. Floors give shards, gems, skill tomes and legendary gear, so you cannot finish the tower on Hard without beating him.
Mechanics
- Both of his attacks hit the whole team. The basic one also instantly activates any HP Burn already on your heroes, so while they are burning, every one of his turns turns into a burst of damage.
- His magma attack applies HP Burn to everyone, and his passive increases HP Burn damage for every Bomb stacked on the victim — more Bombs means far more burn damage.
- Bomb Rain strips every buff from your team and attaches a Bomb to each hero (it explodes after 2 turns), plus one extra Bomb for every buff it removed. Those Bombs cannot be reflected or blocked.
- His power skill gives him an unremovable Increase ATK, creates two Dreadbombs and grants an extra turn; on top of that, he creates another Dreadbomb every time you reduce his turn meter.
- Debuff passive: every debuff you place on him attaches a Bomb to the hero who placed it, and when a Bomb explodes it has a chance to Stun the rest of your team.
- Immunities: Stun, Freeze, Sleep, Provoke, Fear and True Fear, Block Non-Basic Skills, HP exchange and equalisation, cooldown increase. Turn meter reduction only works at half strength.
- Enemy max HP damage is capped — a single hit cannot take much more than ~10% of his HP, so Gnut or Acrizia hit hard but will not delete him.
What your team needs
- Decrease Accuracy on the boss is the key debuff of the fight. Without it, HP Burn and Bombs land almost every time.
- Accuracy on your debuffers: roughly 250–300 on Normal and 350+ on Hard, otherwise Decrease Accuracy and Decrease DEF will not stick.
- Resistance only saves you on low floors: on Hard 90 his Accuracy is well past 700, so out-resisting him is not realistic — lean on Decrease Accuracy and cleansing instead.
- HP/DEF: Bombs and burn hit everything, so aim for 60k+ HP on Normal and 80–100k on Hard, with shields on top.
- Support SPD around 200–250+ so you can cleanse and heal between explosions.
- Bring: Decrease Accuracy, cleanse, Block Debuffs, healing, shields, revive and Decrease DEF for damage. Skip: Block Revive, Heal Reduction, turn meter control, Provoke, Sleep, Stun and Freeze.
Teams
- Budget: Doompriest + Mausoleum Mage + Geomancer + Stag Knight + Kael. Doompriest heals and peels a debuff every turn, Mausoleum Mage cleanses and puts up Block Debuffs, Stag Knight keeps Decrease DEF and Decrease ATK rolling, Geomancer is your main damage through HP Burn.
- Mid-game: Mithrala Lifebane + Doompriest + Dhukk the Pierced + Geomancer + Whisper. Mithrala brings Decrease Accuracy and general survivability, Dhukk keeps Decrease DEF and Decrease ATK up, Whisper closes the fight.
- Endgame: Duchess Lilitu + Mithrala Lifebane + Underpriest Brogni + Gnut + Marius the Gallant. Lilitu covers Block Debuffs and revive, Brogni keeps shields up, Gnut and Marius deliver steady capped damage.
Common mistakes
- Bringing lots of buffs: every buff stripped is one extra Bomb after Bomb Rain.
- Spamming debuffs (poison, HP Burn, stacks of everything) — each one attaches a Bomb to the hero who placed it.
- Building around turn meter control, Provoke or Sleep: it does not work and it feeds him extra Dreadbombs.
- Ignoring HP Burn — one basic attack activates every burn at once and stacks the damage into a single spike.
- Stacking Resistance instead of Decrease Accuracy plus cleansing.
Tips
- Lifesteal on your damage dealer, Speed or Immortal on supports, Accuracy on your debuffer — that is the baseline.
- Masteries: Speed, Accuracy, survivability and heal-on-damage-taken nodes; outlasting the Bombs matters more than squeezing damage.
- On auto, switch off unnecessary support skills — the fight is won by a steady cleanse → heal → shield loop, not by big cooldowns.
- Do not jump straight to Hard 90: test the setup on Normal 10 and 50 first.
- Watch the Bomb counter — if a hero is carrying two or three, wait a turn behind a shield instead of eating a triple detonation.

How to beat Bommal
How to defeat this iron rhino? Bombs can't be removed, you need a lot of ACC, and a LOT of RES.
This is the hardest boss in Doom Tower. You need champions with Decrease ACC, Block Buffs, AoE Freeze, and healers.
Decrease ACC is the most important.
