Dragon's Lair — guide
Guide: Dragon's Lair
In short
Dragon's Lair is the dungeon that drops artifacts from the Speed, Accuracy, Lifesteal, Toxic and other sets. It's the first farm every account should lock down: Speed and Accuracy fit almost any champion, and Lifesteal keeps damage dealers alive in dungeons and on arena. Stage 13 is fine early, stage 20 is the mid-game home, and stage 25 is the late-game upgrade for better drops.
Mechanics
- Waves of Dark Elves come before the boss, and they are what actually kills most teams: healers, revivers, heavy hitters and provoke units all show up there.
- The Dragon hits hard with single-target attacks and breathes fire on the whole team, applying HP Burn. On higher stages the damage ramps up and a dragged-out fight ends with a wipe.
- The boss has a huge HP pool, so enemy MAX HP damage, Poison and HP Burn do far more work than plain direct damage.
- Control does not land on the boss — Stun, Freeze and Provoke are wasted slots. Decrease DEF, Weaken, Poison and HP Burn do land.
What your team needs
Accuracy around 150–250 depending on stage — closer to the top end at stage 20 and above, or your debuffs simply won't stick. Speed: 170–200+ for supports; 150–170 is enough for damage dealers if they're protected. Survivability: roughly 25–35k HP and 2–2.5k DEF on supports, with Lifesteal on your damage dealers.
Useful effects: Decrease DEF, Weaken, Poison and HP Burn, Decrease ATK, a cleanse for HP Burn plus healing. On the waves, Block Revive and Heal Reduction against the healers.
Teams
- Starter: Kael (Lifesteal, Poison), Coldheart (enemy MAX HP damage), Deacon Armstrong (Decrease DEF, Turn Meter boost, heal), Vogoth (healing and durability), Ursala the Mourner (Decrease ATK/DEF to protect the team and revive on mistakes).
- Mid-game: Geomancer (HP Burn and damage reflection), Fahrakin the Fat (Ally Attack, Decrease DEF, HP Burn), Deacon Armstrong, Uugo (Decrease DEF, Block Buffs, healing), Dark Kael (Poison and damage) — debuff-heavy and fast on the boss.
- Endgame: Acrizia (enemy MAX HP damage), Gnut (main boss damage), Mithrala Lifebane (Poison, HP Burn, cleanse), Marichka the Unbreakable (protection and support), Cardiel (healing and debuff removal) — a stable stage 25 clear.
Common mistakes
- Entering stage 20 with 80–100 Accuracy: debuffs miss, the fight drags and the Dragon grinds the team down.
- Building purely for the boss with no cleanse or healing — the waves and HP Burn finish the run.
- Bringing control champions (Provoke, Freeze) that can't affect the boss.
- Skipping the final Offense masteries on damage dealers, which cuts boss damage dramatically.
Tips
- Lifesteal on damage dealers plus the final Offense masteries is the core Dragon's Lair setup.
- Gear: Speed and Accuracy (or Perception) on debuffers, Lifesteal on damage dealers, Toxic on poisoners.
- Set skill priorities for auto-battle — on the boss you want debuffs and single-target damage, not wave-clearing AoE.
- Farm the highest stage you clear reliably and quickly; a shaky stage 25 is worse than a steady stage 20.
- Always keep a cleanse for HP Burn — one tick across three champions costs more than a lost turn.
